Warsaw Sports Marketing Center
The Warsaw Sports Marketing Center is celebrating a quarter-century of global sports business leadership with an array of new initiatives, student experiences, and alumni events.
Events around the center’s silver anniversary are being scheduled throughout 2018 and 2019. A celebration in Eugene is being planned for November, and events will be organized as part of Lundquist College study tour dates in cities including Seattle, San Francisco, and New York City.
A few to watch for:
Warsaw 25 Gala and Auction (Friday, November 2) We will celebrate our legacy, toast Jim Warsaw’s vision, and kickoff our next chapter. Students, alumni, current and past faculty and staff, board members, and friends will come together to share stories, celebrate our special community and “raise the paddle” to support the center.
A video project that will be produced to be leveraged throughout our digital and social platforms. Theme: celebrating the undeniable uniqueness that is the Warsaw Center experience at Oregon while spotlighting alumni perspectives. The video will be unveiled at the Warsaw 25 Gala.
A special line of Warsaw 25 memorabilia for your fan cave.
“We will honor not only the last day of the first 25 years, but the first day of the next 25,” said Whitney Wagoner, director of the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center, who was mentored by Jim Warsaw, for whom the center is named, before his passing in 2009. “We aim to keep the space of sports business moving forward through leadership. This means doubling down on our DNA—creative, innovative approaches to the business of sport. As the industry’s needs change, we will deliver products, topics, and experiences the students of the past didn’t have.”
