Share the Warmth of Taiwanese Hospitality
Share the Warmth of Taiwanese Hospitality
Every year, the Taiwanese Student Association (TWSA) transforms the UO campus into a bustling celebration of Taiwanese heritage. Taiwan Night is more than just an event; it is a bridge between cultures. It’s a night where we share the warmth of Taiwanese hospitality through traditional street food, vibrant performances, and interactive cultural booths. For our international students, it’s a taste of home. For the broader Eugene community, it’s an invitation to experience the unique "Night Market" energy that makes Taiwan famous worldwide.
Why We Need Your Support
Creating an authentic experience requires significant resources. To keep this event accessible to all students and the public, we are raising funds to cover:
- Authentic Ingredients: Bringing the real flavors of Taipei and Tainan to the PNW.
- Cultural Performers: Hosting traditional dancers, musicians, and modern artists.
- Venue & Logistics: Ensuring a safe, large-scale space that can welcome hundreds of Ducks.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Moving toward eco-friendly serving materials to honor our beautiful Oregon campus.
Your Impact
By donating to our DuckFunder, you aren't just buying boba or snacks—you are investing in cultural exchange. You are helping student leaders develop professional skills in event planning and community outreach, and you are ensuring that diversity continues to thrive at the University of Oregon. Every dollar brings us one step closer to the red lanterns and the smell of popcorn chicken!
