The last contributions needed to reach the $5,000 mark were received today! That triggers the $3,000 challenge donation given by Nima Dinyari in honor of Shannon O'Leary and Adam Clausen.

A donation of $350 from Jennifer Weber pushed the total to $5,000 early this afternoon.

But we're not done yet! We still have 33 hours before the end of the campaign! All donations will go to provide scholarships for SPICE campers this summer or in the future.

Super SPICE supporter Holly Jo Hodges, MD has pushed us a whole lot closer to our $5,000 goal. Her generous donation of $2,000 means that we only need $1,800 more in donations before the challenge donation kicks in and the final goal of $8,000 will be met!

If we can get 35 people to give $50 we'll make our goal! Please share the campaign with friends and family and encourage them to support girls in science! 

SPICE super booster Nima Dinyari is offering to contribute $3,000 for every $5,000 raised through the DuckFunder platform. That means if we reach the $5,000 mark, Nima’s donation will get us the rest of the way to our goal! If we manage to raise $10,000 through DuckFunder he will contribute another $3,000.

This challenge gift is being given in memory of our colleagues Professor Shannon O’Leary and Adam Clausen who died tragically last December in a car accident. Shannon played a pivotal role in the early years of SPICE Camp developing curriculum and leading activities.  Your gift to SPICE helps continue Shannon’s work as a champion for girls and women in science. Shannon and Adam will be remembered through SOAC scholarships for SPICE Campers.
