Global Education Oregon Scholarships

Help us provide life-changing learning experiences for students with high financial need!

Study abroad has a huge impact on UO student success: study abroad participants graduate earlier, have higher GPAs, and are more likely to be employed within 12 months of graduation compared to other college students. However, the cost of study abroad remains a major barrier for many Duck students.

By making a gift to the GEO Center Scholarship program, you can help us make the personal, academic, and professional benefits associated with study abroad available to all Duck students. Each $3,000 - $5,000 scholarship allows a Duck student with demonstrated financial need to spend a spring term studying at one of GEO’s four overseas centers in Italy, Spain, or the United Kingdom. Many of our scholarships support individuals who are first-generation college students, come from underrepresented racial and ethnic backgrounds, have a disability, and/or identify as LGBTQIA.

Polls show that students from many different backgrounds and disciplines are interested in studying abroad, yet over half would require financial support in order to participate in even a short-term study abroad program. Help us bridge the funding gap that is keeping students from studying abroad, and feel free to share our DuckFunder campaign with your friends and family by using one of the social media buttons above!
