Lyllye Reynolds-Parker Black Cultural Center Donor Wall Close Out

Named for a UO alumna and advisor known for her passionate advocacy for students of color, the Lyllye Reynolds-Parker Black Cultural Center advances its namesake's legacy by offering a welcoming, supportive space where Black students can harness the academic, social, and cultural resources they need to navigate their UO experience. Standing at the corner of 15th Avenue and Villard, the 3,200 square-foot facility provides flexible event space for both student activities and cultural programming against a backdrop of art and exhibits celebrating Black heritage and history.

Your gift in support of the LRP Black Cultural Center is an investment in the continued success of Black students at the University of Oregon, funding a broad range of programming designed to bring UO's Black community together. Recent events include a lecture on the civil rights movement sponsored by the Koinonia Center and Eugene/Springfield NAACP, a student-led self-defense class, and the academic initiative Super Soul Tuesdaya weekly, holistic "check-in" featuring study tips, career advice, and personal finance coaching. Don't miss this opportunity to participate in the realization of a dream some 50 years in the making.

The Lyllye Reynolds-Parker Black Cultural Center donor wall was created to recognize the community's pivotal role in supporting the center's creation. Shading a porch where BCC visitors can share food and conversation, it has space to accommodate the names of up to 10 additional donors who make gifts of $2,500 or more. Donors supporting the Lyllye Reynolds-Parker Black Cultural Center at a leadership level are invited to consider placing their name on one of the following spaces:

  • Multipurpose Room — $500,000
  • The Porch — $250,000
  • Gallery — $200,000
  • Break Room — $100,000

Please contact Senior Associate Vice President of Development Paul Elstone at (541) 346-5146 if you are interested in pursuing space-naming honors the Lyllye Reynolds-Parker Black Cultural Center.
