Peer Advisors for Veteran Education (PAVE)

Peer Advisors for Veteran Education (PAVE) is a peer support program that connects incoming student veterans on college campuses with other student veterans trained as Peer Advisors, building on the camaraderie veterans experience in the military to create a sense of community that contributes to academic and personal success. Peer Advisors help student veterans navigate college life, connect with on- and off-campus resources, and provide ongoing support.

Both of PAVE’s current Team Leaders are graduating, and we need your support to send their replacements to Michigan, where the program was founded, for training. Team Leaders serve as ambassadors for the program, identify on- and off-campus resources, and recruit, train, and supervise Peer Advisors. The estimated costs for registration, travel, food and other expenses for two representatives are $3,000. We will use any additional funds raised to help train of our new PAVE advisors in Summer and/or Fall 2020.
