Support the Chamber Choir’s once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent the US on a global stage!

The University of Oregon Chamber Choir is greatly honored to be the sole representative choir from the United States to be selected to participate in the 850th anniversary of the Order of St. James, founded in León, Spain, in 1172. The celebration includes a concert in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, featuring Joby Talbot’s ‘Path of Miracles’. The King of Spain and the Pope have also been invited.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for these gifted students, but it comes with a price tag. Devoted benefactors, the Haugland Family Foundation, have made a $20,000 challenge gift, which means every dollar we raise between now and April 30 is doubled

Students who have had the unique opportunity to perform internationally on behalf of the UO in the past have spoken of the community they felt with other performers from around the world. There is a common language in music that bypasses politics and war and unites us all. But Ducks have not represented on the global stage since 2019 and we need your help. Please give what you can to provide the choir with the trip of a lifetime.

With your gift, we can get our Ducks back on the international stage - after years of silence - to unite all cultures and people.

If you wish to donate via check, please contact Michelle Glenn by emailing glennm@uoregon.edu or calling at 541-228-5746.
