PROJECT SCOPE: FUNDRAISING GOAL TOTAL OF $300,000

Two New Six-Court Scoreboards

Two large-sized scoreboards will be prominently mounted to display the scores of all ongoing matches during dual-match formats. Player names will also be featured for ease of following the score and an added touch of personalization.    

Six New Individual-Court Scoreboards

Six smaller individual scoreboards will follow the action on a given court. This crucial addition will allow fans and coaches alike to know the score of a court they’re watching in real-time and creating a better experience for all within the venue.

PROJECT IMPACT

Enhanced in-venue experience for fans, coaches, and student-athletes:

• Will provide coaches with real-time updates on their players’ performances, allowing for more precise strategic adjustments and enhancing the coaching and team experience.
• For student-athletes, the scoreboards offer immediate visibility into their progress and that of their teammates, fostering a heightened sense of competition and  camaraderie during the match. 
• Fans will enjoy an enriched viewing experience, offering ongoing updates on each match, enhancing their ease of following the team performance during the match and increasing the overall engagement of viewers.

Increased capabilities for online streaming:

• The scoreboards’ technology allows for the integration of live scoring from the court to be featured as a scorebug on the livestream on Playsight, which greatly benefits fans and parents that cannot attend a match in person.

Updated graphics and aesthetics for the Oregon Student Tennis Center:

• The scoreboards’ updated branding with University of Oregon marks will give the Oregon Student Tennis Center a true identity as a facility student-athletes and fans can be proud of, while creating a more visually appealing atmosphere for fans, student-athletes, and recruits.

Recruiting benefits and competitive advantages:

• This forward-thinking investment sends a clear message to current and prospective student-athletes: The University of Oregon is committed to providing the best resources and experiences, making it an attractive destination for top talent. A donor wall or plaque featuring the names of everyone who made a gift of $25,000 to upgrade the Oregon Student Tennis Center will be placed prominently within the facility to honor their generosity in perpetuity.
