Hi there, we're UO Moot Court!

We’re current law students at UO Law. We joined Moot Court to strengthen our advocacy skills and become more effective legal professionals, enabling us to help as many people as possible. 

Our teams travel to Moot Court competitions across the country. These events are competitive, simulated legal proceedings judged by practicing legal professionals. While law school provides a rigorous education in legal theory and case law, these competitions add tremendous value to our legal education, allowing us to hone our practical skills and become better advocates. These competitions also provide incredible networking opportunities with peers, mentors, and potential employers from around the country.

This year we have thirty-six members, competing as six teams: 

1. Mock Trial 
2. Negotiations 
3. Client Counseling 
4. Mediation 
5. Oral Arguments 
6. Environmental Law Oral Arguments 

Moot Court Competitions are incredible opportunities to help us grow as trial lawyers, mediators, and negotiators, but we need your help! Competitions happen across the country, and travel is expensive. We are raising $5,000 to help cover transportation costs for our members so they can take full advantage of these amazing opportunities.
