We thank you for all your support to bring this memorial to life for Rob. He loved Autzen & had so many amazing memories there with friends cheering on his beloved Ducks. I will continue that tradition as much as possible with our kiddos Jonny & Alex. With every Autzen trip, we will visit his special bench, smile at our hero & cheers to a UO victory.
As Robbie would say ‘Go Get’em, Go Ducks’
Robert Stuart McEachern
May 27, 1984 – June 17, 2020
He is survived by his wife, Courtney and their two toddlers, Jonathan and Alexandra; by his mother Stacia, his father David, and his sister and brother-in-law Caitlin & Dan Benson.
Rob was a curious kid—vivacious, kind, lots of energy and determination. He loved his family and really started his love for sports early, playing anything and everything. He was loyal to friends, but loved meeting new friends any chance he got. Rob had a special way of connecting with people and that trait never left, he was friends with people, teachers, co-workers for life. Here are five words that describe him: compassionate, boisterous, ambitious, gregarious, loving.
At Rex Putnum HS, Robbie was “Mr. Social”. He had lots of friends, played three sports, was senior class President, and voted “Most flirtatious”. He graduated in 2002.
He was the first in his family to attend a four-year University and was beyond proud and excited to attend the University of Oregon. At school, Rob was part of the Theta Chi Fraternity, and was named President his senior year. He graduated in 2006 with a business degree.

Family and friends were Rob’s WHY. His wife Courtney and children, Jonny & Alex were what he got up and fought for everyday.
Outside of being with family and friends, Rob was exceptional at real estate. He was well known in the commercial and industrial real estate community and found much success there.
In his spare time, SPORTS was his hobby. He loved playing golf, though not as good at it as he would have liked—and he loved trips to the mountain for a day of skiing. But Football became his true sport to love, with the University of Oregon Ducks being his team. DIE HARD supporter in any way possible for the Ducks. Rob and his “True GUYS” would go to every single game for the Ducks, including 36+ road games which of course is every Rose Bowl and National Title Game. His larger than life personality and staunch loyalty makes him one of the greatest Duck fans ever.
Rob was loved by so many – from friends and family to his colleagues in his real estate profession. People said, “we have never come across someone that spoke negatively about Rob. NOT ONE. He was kind, respectful, smart, loving, inclusive and genuinely wanted the best for everyone he encountered.” Most people don’t want the hard road or take on a challenge. Not Rob. Once he thought of a challenge or obstacle, he would do everything to achieve or overcome it. His motto—learn something new everyday, and never give up. His determination to follow his plan and attain his dreams never wavered.
Robbie’s last words – were words for all. He said, “Take care of yourselves – health is easily overlooked but you have nothing if you don’t have your health. Take care of each other. Love and kindness will always mask the bad things in life. Keep my memory alive for Jonny and Alex along with love and support for Courtney. Never give up on your dreams – work for it, learn for it, take risks – you CAN make it happen. Go Get’em. Go Ducks."

To remember and honor Robbie’s passion for life and love of the Ducks, we are coming together to create a memorial space on the North concourse of Autzen Stadium – one of Robbie’s most beloved places. This space will be open during every Duck home football game and any other events held at Autzen Stadium for friends and family to visit and remember our great friend, father, husband and Duck.
